In June 2024, HCLTech opened its new East Coast headquarters in East Brunswick, New Jersey, located at One Tower Center along the New Jersey Turnpike. The company emphasized that the facility is designed with “post-COVID features” intended to entice employees back to the office, including open-plan workspaces, video-capable conference zones, and comfortable settings rather than traditional cubicles. At the same time, the company uses the facility not just for workspace, but as a showcase of its innovation: it includes a Customer Experience Center (CEC) with labs for AI and cloud-native technologies where clients can “touch, see, and feel” what the company can deliver.
HCLTech is entering this phase of expansion while already employing more than 220,000 people worldwide across 60 countries, and it emphasizes that its growth strategy is supported by infrastructure such as this facility. Company leaders said the new office helps ensure HCLTech is “geared for that scale” and can support both organic growth and strategic partnerships. “The advantage for us is this – we service a number of customers, most of them are Fortune 100, Fortune 500 customers. Whether it is financial services; whether it is life sciences – we are right in the middle. Or whether it is high-tech manufacturing – or is it traditional manufacturing? We are sort of equidistant to addressing many of our customers. Whether you want to go to the New York Financial District or you want to head to the Life Sciences hub or to Connecticut, or to Philly. I think we are sort of right in the middle – and that connectivity, that reach is very good for us.”
