TechLaunch announces winner of latest BullPen tech venture competition at Princeton
September 19, 2018TechLaunch announced the winner of BullPen #10, held Tuesday at Princeton Innovation Center BioLabs.
The event provided an opportunity for four early-stage tech ventures to pitch their business models to attendees and an Investor Panel of judges.
Holmdel-based Safe-Com Wireless, a public safety company, claimed the top spot. It’s pitch was presented by Steve Clark, co-founder and CEO, and Henry Wojtunik, co-founder. The company is creating a technology disruption in public safety “in-building” communications for first responders.
The other presentations were the following:
- LiveShopBuy: an e-commerce, education and technology platform that models itself like Amazon and Yelp, but exclusively for small- to mid-sized businesses;
- Diamond Hedge: an augmented reality comparison site that uses proprietary AR technology to let consumers “try on”, customize and compare diamond rings from well known stores, including Zales, Kay Jewelers, Jared and more.
- Afari: a decentralized social network that allows people to control their privacy and data. This was a student presentation from Princeton University.
The tenth BullPen pitch competition was co-hosted along with Princeton Tech Meetup. It was sponsored by Gibbons Law, ND4 Advisory, Withum, Gearhart Law and Casabona Ventures.
