Choose New Jersey Marks Q3 with Successful India Mission, Corporate Expansions, and Record Global Reach
November 19, 2025
Newark, NJ — Choose New Jersey, the state’s leading nonprofit business attraction organization, today announced another strong quarter marked by a successful economic mission to India, new global partnerships, and continued corporate growth across New Jersey. In the third quarter of 2025, the organization helped secure 15 company expansions or relocations in New Jersey, resulting in 1,533 new and retained jobs, as well as $174 million in capital investment.
In September, Governor Phil Murphy led Choose New Jersey’s six-day mission to India with stops in New Delhi, Kochi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. The delegation strengthened economic and educational ties between New Jersey and India, resulting in the signing of 11 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), including a sister state agreement between New Jersey and Karnataka and new academic partnerships with Montclair State University, Rutgers University, Rowan University, and NJIT.
“Our mission to India reaffirmed that New Jersey’s innovation ecosystem is second to none,” said Governor Murphy. “From life sciences and technology to higher education, we are building partnerships that deliver jobs, investment, and opportunity for both New Jersey and India. Thanks to Choose New Jersey’s leadership, our state continues to be a trusted destination for global companies seeking growth.”
As a result of the mission, 12 companies — including Tata Communications, Lupin, Biocon, and Indegene — announced expansions that will create over 400 new jobs in New Jersey. Additionally, Microland announced plans to establish a new U.S. corporate office in Iselin.
“Choose New Jersey continues to deliver results that position our state as a hub for innovation and investment,” said Ralph LaRossa, Chairman of Choose New Jersey and Chair, President, and CEO of PSEG. “The partnerships forged this quarter will translate into jobs, growth, and opportunity for New Jersey residents and businesses.”
The quarter also saw multiple corporate openings across life sciences, logistics, and technology sectors from companies Choose New Jersey worked with. Aurobindo Pharma opened a new manufacturing facility in East Windsor Township, Libiao Robotics launched a logistics center in Hillsborough, and Made Scientific held a ribbon-cutting for its new site in Princeton.
“This quarter demonstrated the power of international engagement paired with strong local development,” said Wesley Mathews, President & CEO of Choose New Jersey. “We congratulate Governor-elect Sherrill and look forward to supporting the new administration’s vision for economic growth. As we did eight years ago, Choose New Jersey stands ready to align with the next chapter of the state’s economic development strategy. Our mission to attract investment, create jobs, and showcase New Jersey’s strength as a global hub for innovation and opportunity remains.”
