New Jersey is home to seven of the world’s top 10 pharmaceutical companies and eight of the top 10 medical device firms. These companies are supported by the #1 concentration of scientists and engineers in the country, a well of talent with specialized concentrations in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, R&D, medical devices, and cell and gene therapy.

With a particularly well-developed CDMO network, New Jersey offers essential manufacturing infrastructure that accelerates market entry by reducing production timelines and costs. Approximately 1.5 million square feet of new CDMO and biomanufacturing space has been added since 2021. New Jersey now boasts more than 700 CROs and CDMOs.
