Choose New Jersey Announces Amy Herbold as Next President and CEO

Newark, NJ – The Board of Directors of Choose New Jersey, the state’s leading nonprofit business attraction organization, today announced the appointment of Amy Herbold as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 16, 2026. A dynamic leader with deep experience across government and the private sector, Herbold will guide the organization into its next chapter of growth and global engagement. Herbold will succeed Wesley Mathews, who served as President and CEO of the organization from 2022 through 2025.

The Board of Directors looks forward to partnering with her to advance Governor Sherrill’s economic priorities.”

Herbold is a seasoned leader with experience driving economic development projects within our region, contributing to job creation and advancing New Jersey’s position as a year-round global destination. She currently serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs for the Triple Five Group, where she supports a range of high-profile development initiatives.

Herbold earned her J.D. at Seton Hall University School of Law and is a graduate of Trinity University.
